New Basics / Easy Refresh
I replaced two home staples recently (kitchen oven mitts and front porch doormat) and have been so surprised by the simple joy these new items bring. We had our previous oven mitts and doormat for years and needless to say they were worn and quite frankly yucky! Together, these only cost $25 and I smile every time I come home and every time I cook.

Air Fryer Chicken Tender Nuggets - oh my goodness these are so easy and good I want them all the time! Could be modified to be simpler in flavor for little ones!

What I am Reading This Week
I have the terrible habit of never reading just one book at a time. At the moment I have my morning time book, The Four Agreements (a beloved reread), The Women (I can not recommend enough!) for reading at the beach, and Heart Bones for reading on my kindle/phone before bed. Thankfully, they are each wildly different so I have no trouble keeping them straight, but they are all so wonderful in their own way. I just love getting to soak up some very different styles of literature each day!
If you haven’t yet read The Women please go pick it up! Gosh is it heartbreaking but empowering and beautiful. I have learned so much about the Vietnam war and have such respect for all those (soldiers and nurses) who went to Vietnam to protect.
Favorite Four
Lait Creme - I’ve heard about this fabulous face cream from so many people and it when it was on sale I decided to give it a try. I am obsessed! It feels thick and creamy, but goes on so light and with a luxurious silkiness. I love how it is a moisturizer but also a primer too! It is such a decadent treat for your skin.

The color yellow - I have always loved the cheeriness of yellow, but rarely gravitated toward it. I recently I have found myself loving yellow so much more! Butter yellow dresses, golden yellow jewelry, soft yellow floral napkin prints… I can’t get enough and love how beautifully it can complement other colors.
How glorious is this palette featuring buttery soft yellow? It Ends With Us Movie - I hopped on the Colleen Hoover train and have been anticipating this movie ever since! I ALWAYS like a books better than the movie version, but I felt like the directors did a great job honoring the story and casting the characters so well! I especially loved the author’s involvement in the film. Such a fun see for a girl’s night.
Thought for the Week
In re-reading The Four Agreements I am dissecting one agreement each week, beginning with being impeccable with your word. This one is a toughie, but such a goodie. It goes back to the golden rule we all learned as young children: if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all (to yourself, to others, about others). The words we say matter and choosing to say kind, loving and encouraging words brings light. I think this is such a good self check-in for monitoring and re-evaluating how we are using our words! I love how Don Miguel says when being impeccable “it can take away all fear and transform it into joy and love.”
